About Us

Hello!

Thank you very much for your interest in our apartment! We find it important that you have a good impression of who we are as hosts, so let us briefly introduce ourselves.

We are the Family Stam living in the village of Heerde, right in the middle of the beautiful, forest-rich Veluwe in the Netherlands. We are a young, cheerful, spontaneous, and warm family.

Inspired by Dutch TV shows such as “Ik Vertrek” and “Het Roer Om” – you probably know them…

We decided to chase our own dream.

Passionate about Spain and longing for the warm sun and Spanish hospitality, we followed our hearts and found our own little paradise under the Spanish sun.

Although we spend most of our time working in the Netherlands, we can only enjoy our sunny getaway during the school holidays. That is why we are happy to share our joy with others by renting out our holiday apartment, so that you too can enjoy the peace and beauty we have found in our beloved Spain.

This step allowed us to get the best of both worlds. Because of our son’s metabolic condition, taking the big leap to move permanently to Spain was simply too great for us.

We do our best to keep all costs as low as possible. This is the only way we can offer our apartment at an affordable price. We kindly ask you to help us with this by treating the apartment with care and using it in a normal and respectful way.

[Update March 2025] Family Expansion & One Year of Rental Experience!

With great pride and love, we would like to share a special update with you. In May 2024, we became parents once again to our beautiful daughter, and Djurre became a proud big brother!

We named her Jenthe.

Our little girl completes our family and brings even more joy into our lives. Just like her brother, Jenthe has the metabolic condition PKU.

Fortunately, by now we have gained a lot of experience in how to manage this, which gives us full confidence as we enter this new chapter as a family.

In addition, we are happy to share that we have now been renting out our apartment for about a year.

During this time, we have already welcomed many satisfied guests, something that makes us extremely happy and grateful! We do our best to continuously add nice improvements to the apartment so that it remains both comfortable and cozy. At the same time, we prefer not to make it too modern, as we love to preserve its authentic Spanish style.

We look forward to creating many more wonderful memories together as a family, both at home in the Netherlands and in our beloved Spain. And of course, we hope to welcome many more guests to our lovely holiday home!
